Common questions

Is sexual health care via telehealth confidential?

Yes. All SwiftDoc consultations are strictly confidential. Your records are only accessible to you and your treating GP.

Can I get an STI test referral online?

Yes. Your GP can issue pathology referrals for a full STI screen including HIV, chlamydia, gonorrhoea, syphilis, hepatitis B and C, and herpes. You then visit a pathology lab of your choice.

Can I get contraception prescribed online?

Yes. A registered GP can prescribe the oral contraceptive pill, emergency contraception (morning after pill), and other contraceptive options after a brief consultation.

What if I think I have an STI?

Book a consultation and describe your symptoms. Your GP will assess you, recommend appropriate testing, and prescribe treatment if indicated. Many STIs are straightforward to treat when caught early.
