There are many ways that the SwiftDoc team can help you with our online doctor services, but to make things simple, we’ve picked out ten of our favourite service offerings.

1. Medical Certificates

This popular service allows you to stay at home and rest, while still meeting your obligations as an employee.  Simply book an appointment for a consult with a qualified GP, who will not only assess your medical needs, but will email you a medical certificate, that you can then forward on to your boss.  So you can get better, and get back to work faster.

2. Blood Tests

There’s no need to visit a traditional GP clinic to ask for a blood test any more.  Book an online consult with us and we can email a blood test referral to you.  This can be used anywhere in Australia and we’ll email you the results as well.

3. Repeat Prescriptions

We’re sure you’ll love our repeat prescription service, because it is so flexible and easy.  Simply book an appointment (choose repeat prescription from our services menu).  We’ll email the script through to the pharmacy of your choice where you can collect your medication when it is ready, or even arrange delivery (depending on the pharmacy). 

4. Referrals

We can prepare a referral for you for any specialist or allied health care professional (physio, psychologist, dietitian)…you name it, we can point you in the right direction for the care you need, and email you the referral to secure a specialist appointment.

5. Travel Vaccinations

If you’re heading overseas, depending on where you are going you may need to arrange vaccinations before you leave.  We’ll let you know what you need and send a prescription for vaccines and medications to your chosen pharmacy so you can head off.  (Hot tip: don’t leave this until the last minute – sometimes you need more than one dose of medication, or it takes some time to take effect).

6. WorkCover Insurance

If you’ve been injured at work, we can manage the whole process for you.  WorkCover forms are completed and emailed to you and your employers, and we liaise with the insurance company and order scans if needed.

7. MRI/X-ray/CT/Ultrasound

We’ve made imaging easy with our referral service for MRIs, x-ray, CT, ultrasound etc.  We can provide you with the referral for diagnostic imaging tests so you can easily arrange the imaging you need anywhere in Australia.

8. Sexual Health

We get it, sometimes it can be a little awkward talking about sexual health.  So being able to chat in the privacy and comfort of your own home should help you feel just a little bit more relaxed.  As with all aspects of our service, anything we discuss is confidential, and we’ll offer you only the best professional advice in a friendly manner.  We order blood and urine tests for sexually transmitted infections by emailing the referral to you.  You do the tests and we email you the result in two days or less.

9. Nutrition and Diet

It’s a minefield of information out there, which is why we have brought on board a highly qualified dietitian to provide tailored diet and nutrition advice, to cut through the clutter and provide clear advice, just for you.  Get the guidance you need around your nutrition with an in-depth consult, straight to your smartphone.  We can also help you with a weight loss plan (just select the weight loss option in our services menu).

10. Counselling

Mental health is one of the most prevalent issues facing Australians, which is why we’ve decided to offer psychology and counselling services via video consult.  Don’t put off taking care of your mental health concerns – professional help is just a few clicks away, and better yet, you can chat to us when and where it suits you via your device.  Our doctors can prescribe you medications to improve your mental health and refer you to specialists if needed.
